24-09-11: - KID’S PARTY! 22nd October; 19:00 - 23:00
P.A.R.T. Why? Because I Gotta!
There shall be a KID’S PARTY taking place in the Social club house this Saturday 22nd October; starting at 7pm and finishing at 11pm.
There shall be games, prizes and fun throughout the night finishing with a good old Karoke and sing a long!
A Buffet will also be served all night. Please put child’s name down on the list in the club or in the office.

Kids fun day at the Flash Leisure centre, Welshpool! Please see office for more information. Kids make sure to put your name down in the office before Sept 17th and say what you want to eat.
17-09-11: - Quiz night! Tan House Inn Sat 17th Sept 20:30
The Tan house Inn, Llangyniew are doing a Charity Quiz night! Taking place Saturday 17th September at 8:30 pm. £4 per team of 4 with all proceeds going to the charity chosen by the winning team. There shall also be a raffle taking place on the night, donation of prices appreciated.
10-09-11: - WI Cake day Sat 10th Sept
Last cake day of the year! So make sure you don't miss your sugary fix! As usual it shall take place on the Fir View visitors car park in aid of Pontrobert's church.
28-08-11: - Annual Sports Day! Sun 28th August 10:00 - 18:00
And the fun dosen't stop there as our Annual Sports day kicks off 10:00am Sunday! There is a host of fun & prizes for everyone with stalls, games & sporting activities being held on the recreational field. Hotdogs, burgers & drinks will be served throughout the day.

WI details same as below but with some good old Car-boot, Tombola & Raffle stalls thrown in! All taking place on the Fir View visitors car park in aid of Wales Air Ambulance & the Children's club. Come and book your tables at the office (£3 per stall) all in aid of Wales Air Ambulance & the Children's club.

Then get ready for Fir View Tan y Ffridd's very own talent competition! Whether you wanna sing, impersonate or dance like a lunatic, the stage is yours! To enter simply put your name down on the entry form in the Club house or ring and sign up through the office. Doors open at 7:30pm.

We have 3 WI Cake days taking place in the months of July & August! The first is on Saturday 30th July taking place on the Fir View visitors car park in aid of Pontrobert's church.
18-07-11: - The Royal Welsh Show! 18-21 July
The Royal Welsh is undoubtedly the highlight of the Welsh Calendar! An agricultural show with a great range of unique attractions on offer from Freestyle motorcycling, horse dancing to Titan the robot, not to mention well over 1000 trade stalls; there really is something for everyone.

Roll up Roll up John Lawson's Circus is coming to town! Voted Britain's best circus they promise it will be a "All human spectacular!" starring Britain's funniest clowns "the Popolinos" it is the circus you can afford to see but can't afford to miss! 20-05-11: - Gregynog hall's Garden Festival! Sunday 5th June 10am - 4pm
Gregynog hall is having a festival of gardening! Where you can see expert demonstrations and celebrations of skill in timber craft and all things garden related. Fancy Dress and entertainment is the name of the game with the 4 finalists singing for the prize.

Music and Games is the theme of the night with advent calendars and jelly and cakes thrown in for good measure!
09-10-10 & 30-10-10: X Factor!!
Just like the show; singing, dancing and all that jazz! Natalie and Lisa have organised Fir View Tan y Ffridd first ever X Factor competition! Heats take place this Saturday 9th October with the final being at the end of the month, Saturday 30th October. Prizes awarded on acts. If you wish to enter put your name down in the office!
02-10-10: Kids fun Day
Kids fun day at the Flash Leisure centre, Welshpool! Kids make sure to put your name down in the office and say what you want to eat. We are also booking the Welsh Air Ambulance Helicopter to come down for the day!
September: Annual Garden Competition
Judging for this year's Best Garden competition shall take place from now until the end of the season. To be in with a chance of winning a bottle of Champagne and for your garden to appear on the internet make sure to keep your garden at its best. The winner shall be posted on the website in time for the new season.

The Annual sports day shall be taking place this Sunday on the Fir View recreational field. Event's start from 1pm. Please can all Children put their name and age down on the lists in the office and Children's games room.

Then get ready to Boogie! DJ Vince shall be in the Fir View club house from 19:30 to 23:30.
24-08-10: Fir View's Animal Farm, Race night and Carboot
Thank you to everyone who made donations and gave up their time on the 07-08-10 to make the Children's fund raising day such a success. We managed to raise £472.70 for the Children's fund and £239 in aid of the Wales Air Ambulance. Well done to everybody involved! We would also like to especially thank Mr & Mrs Meakin, Mr & Mrs Stokes, Mr & Mrs Everton/ Turton and Mr Malpass for their generous donations.
07-08-10: Fir View's animal farm!
As well as the Car-boot, Tombola & Raffles taking place on the upper Fir View visitors car park, we shall be having our very own Animal Farm! Come and see Olly, Jessica and Coco (the donkeys) as well as our pet lamb "Mary" (what else could we call her?!) and working Borda collie Sheep dog "sally". The animals will arrive at 10am and be on show until 2pm.
07-08-10: Race night!

23-07-10: Salop Leisure Machynlleth 10 year anniversary
Salop Leisure in Machynlleth is holding a show weekend Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th July to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. With 60 new and pre-owned holiday homes to view there will be cracking deals to be had with as much as £1,500 off the list price! BBQ and refreshments provided in aid of Wales Air Ambulance.
10-07-10: The Rio has been bought!
You wait for a bus and two come along at once! We have now sold our 4th and 5th Willerby Rio and now Fir View Tan y Ffridd officially has a waiting list! Work is underway on pitch 23 which will house the 5th Willerby Rio and pictures will soon be posted to show that, with just a little work, most pitch's can accommodate a new 35 x 12 caravan.

10-04-10: The Rio has been bought!
The paint had only just dried on the first model as the second one was being snapped up! This time with double glazing. With the option for double glazing, central heating or both and coming in 3 different sixes; 28 x 12 x 2 bedroom, 35 x 12 x 2 bedroom and 35 x 12 x 3 bedroom, there really is a Rio for everyone!

Not only is this year's model our favourite, it's proving very popular amongst our residents aswell. For those of you who have not had chance to look around; don't worry, we will be having another model coming this Easter weekend.

That's right we have managed to bend Salop Leisure's arm into lending us a 2010 Willerby Rio. This is located next to the Fir View visitors car park alongside the office and will be unlocked throughout the day. If you are thinking of up grading or simply wish to receive further information simply pop into the office.
